Have you seen our Pink Footy???
The NSW/ACT Youth Girls Nationals Team has been given a pink footy to help promote the team and girls footy in the lead up to the inaugural AFL Youth Girls National Championships.
The pink footy will be travelling around the ACT and NSW and can be seen in our gallery http://www.seeyouatthefooty.com.au/women-image-gallery.php with the famous landmarks and personalities that are features of NSW and the ACT
So far our Pink footy has been signed by Prime Minister Julia Gillard (photo in gallery), photographed with and signed by Tim Matheson (Julia Gillard's partner), signed by Sydney Swans players Nick Malceski, Ed Barlow and Garry Rohan.

Youth Girls Twilight Competition 2010

AFL Canberra will again be running the NAB Youth Girls Twilight Competition in the off-season for new and experienced players to Youth Girls football.
Competition details are as follows:
Age Groups: U15's - for girls aged 13 -15 years
U18's - for girls aged 16 - 18 years

NSW/ACT Names Canberra Umpire for National Championships
It has been announced this week that AFL Canberra Umpire Tegan Cawley has been picked to Umpire for the Youth Girls National Championships in Melbourne later this year.
Tegan is passionate about Australian Football and has been involved both as a player and an Umpire. Tegan represented the ACT in the 2009 Youth Girls Interstate Challenge against NSW as a player and is excited by the opportunity to now represent the ACT as an Umpire at a National Carnival.
Tegan is a highly regarded Umpire within the AFL Canberra community, having won the AFL Canberra Milk Junior League Best First Year Umpire award in 2008, and the AFL Canberra Milk Junior League, Ross Norgate Most Dedicated Umpire award in 2009.
2010 has seen Tegan promoted to the AFL Canberra Senior Umpiring group where she has been Umpiring in the Under 18’s competition. Tegan is thrilled to be selected to Umpire at the Youth Girls National Championships and is looking forward to meeting other Umpires who enjoy Umpiring as much as she does. |
