Queanbeyan
On the 22nd of March, the QBN Tigers FC and AFL NSW/ACT hosted over 400 students in the Auskick Gala for year 3/4 students. The participating schools were QBN South P.S, Jerrabomberra P.S and QBN West P.S. Most of the students there had never experienced AFL before but picked it up pretty quickly. The day was a success and QBN had a few kids wanting to join up to play after the day. full story

Cooma
The Cooma Auskick gala day on the 17th of March saw about 80 kids turn up this year none of whom had ever played AFL before but very much were keen to learn. This was the first gala day in Cooma for many years. The day started off with a few basic drills which included kicking, handballing and marking. After recess the modified games started the games were umpired by Development Staff Daniel Ryall and Sav Coate and they were very surprised with the talent of some of the kids. full story
Jindabyne
The Jindabyne Auskick Gala day on the 10th of March had around 150 boys and girls from Jindabyne Central School come down to the oval to learn about the game of AFL. The day started with a quick skills session then straight into games. Development Officer Trent Hopkinson was very surprised with the talent the kids showed. full story
