Is required to achieve the plan's objectives which include
Maintain Division 1 clubs and establish new teams and clubs
Encourage strong affiliations of Division 1 clubs to lower division men’s clubs, Under 18’s, junior and women’s throughout the ACT and surrounding NSW region
Increase participation in AFL driven through better links with schools, junior and senior clubs and better communication and initiatives between AFL Canberra, AFL NSW/ACT, all ACT and region football clubs, local schools and communities. |

AFL Canberra’s Strategic Priorities are to;
Develop and implement AFL Canberra’s Strategic Plan for the next three years
Improve the development of players, umpires and officials within local clubs and competitions
Build on the opportunities for growth, particularly in Tuggeranong, Gungahlin and Weston/Creek Molonglo and in junior, youth girl’s and women’s Australian football. |
